One in Ten

Hosted by Sue O'Connell and Keith Orr, the award winning One In Ten, a radio program for the gay and lesbian community can be heard every Sunday night, 8pm – 10pm on the FNX Radio Network. The longest running program of its kind- One in Ten premiered in 1992. FNX was the first commercial FM station in a major market to begin a
program exclusively devoted to issues and events of interest to the gay and lesbian community. Since then, the show has won numerous AIR awards; been nominated for best radio how by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. Weekly the show examines current issues facing the gay and lesbian community including discrimination against gays in the armed services; the fight for recognition of same sex unions; and issues particular to gay youth.


The two-hour show is an eclectic and lively mix of interviews, entertainment, politics, performances, contests and discussion. Recent guests have included Armistead Maupin, Rita Moreno, Mel White, David Sedaris, Ru Paul, The Lady Bunny, Elizabeth Birch, Linda Eder, Helen Reddy, Rep. Barney Frank, Senator Ted Kennedy, Rep. Mike Capuano, and Betty DeGeneres. ONE IN TEN also features reporters from Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Time Magazine, Salon.com, Entertainment Weekly, New York Magazine, The Advocate, OUT Magazine and Genre on a regular basis.
