#90 - Tool

You could make an argument that each member of Tool--vocalist Maynard James Keenan, guitarist Adam Jones, bassist Justin Chancellor, and drummer Danny Carey--are among the best of the best at their particular instruments.  The whole being equal to the sum of its parts, that would make Tool among the best of the best in the world of music.  Their blend of rock's progressive and metal elements and ability to write in the most complex of time signatures has given them a unique & instantly recognizable sound.  Guitarist Adam Jones' visual work in their music videos has further cemented thier status as one of the most talented & stimulating bands working today.  Just scroll up & click play for an example.
