Kurt Cobain’s Ashes To Be Smoked…

The ashes of former Nirvana front man and cultural icon Kurt Cobain, are set to be smoked by a German artist named Natascha Stellmach. Stellmach acquired the rights to Cobain’s ashes… somehow… and now has them on display as an installation in a gallery in Berlin.

The installation appears as so… a rolled up joint, full of Cobain’s ashes that waits to be smoked by Stellmach and some of her friends, cronies, and patrons. This is a truly odd and somewhat disgusting act, depending on where you fall on the age old, “Is it okay to smoke the ashes of dead rock stars?” debate.
