New England Product: Robby Roadsteamer, and upcoming local shows!

Last weekend was quite an eventful one. We hung out with Taxpayer for the majority of it. Thursday (5/7) was the second installment of our New Alliance Sessions. Everybody had a blast and we’ll be sharing some of those recordings with you next week. On Friday, we got our dance on at The Pill, and then Saturday we returned to Great Scott for The Everyday Visuals’ CD release party. I’ll be posting some pictures from those GS shows soon.

On Sunday, Robby Roadsteamer and Nikki from Where the Land Meets the Sea joined Dave and me in the studio. Robby and Nikki have started a new band called Super Time Pilot, and they stopped by to bless us with live renditions of some tunes from their upcoming release as well as Robby’s last one, I Solved Every Miniquest.

The no-sleep, non-stop pandemonium that tends to come with May continues this week, and here’s where to find us.

Happy hump day, New England Product darlings. I hope this surprisingly sunny day finds you well. It finds me stealing wireless from a local bar, where I’m nursing a Cinco de Hangover with an endless supply of diet coke.

Recently, Dave and I were joined in the studio by The Everyday Visuals. In between slamming cans of Red Bull Cola and daring us to do other stupid things around the studio, Kyle and Christopher discussed their new self-titled album. They are celebrating its release on Saturday, 5/9 at Great Scott with Taxpayer and Tiny Animals. I really can’t say enough about how great these guys are live, so just trust me and check it out. New England Product: This Week in Local Rock (4/13/09)

Happy Passover/Easter/assorted other Springtime holidays, New England Products! I hope you feasted on tons of chocolate and cute baby animals. I’m not sure why we celebrate religious holidays with gluttony, but it works for me.

Last night, Dave Duncan and I were joined in the studio by Harris. Normally, it makes us incredibly happy to hang with the Harris dudes. However, the reason for their visit this week is to tell us about their final show. While this is a tragic occurrence, it’s sure to be a fantastic show. Make sure you’re at the Middle East Downstairs next Saturday 4/18 to say goodbye to Harris, welcome back to Scamper (it’s their reunion show), and hello to Jericho Trumpet (if you haven’t already). Tickets are $10 in advance and are available at the Middle East box office and ticketmaster.com. I recommend buying them in advance, as it is VERY likely this show will sell out.

Good evening NEP friends! Lots of fun going ons this week!

Last Sunday, Sarah Borges dropped by the studio. While we don’t usually have live performances on New England Product, Sarah and her bandmate Binky treated us to unplugged versions of two of her songs, “Me and Your Ghost” and “Ride With Me.” Sarah and Binky were excited to give us some new music from "The Stars Are Out" and tell us all about their CD release show, coming up on Friday at Church.

New England Product: New Alliance Sessions kick-off, Ryan Lee Crosby, and the week in local rock!

Happy Oscar week, NE Products. I hope you’re staying warm and cozy, counting down the days til spring. It’s a good thing February is so short.

Last night, Ryan Lee Crosby joined us in the studio along with his drummer Dan. Ryan and Dan came by with a copy of their new album, Out To Dry. Dave and I have been playing “Nicoline” for you for a bit, and now you can pick up your very own copy at The Middle East Upstairs on Friday, 2/27. If you want to preview the record, go hang out at River Gods on Tuesday (2/24). Dewars will be sponsoring the listening party, and then Ryan will also be spinning some personal faves, so go have a few drinks and check out the new tracks.

New England Product: This Week in Local Rock

Good evening, NEP snow bunnies. If you managed to dig yourselves out of the inches covering out city once again the area, I’m sure you noticed that we stayed up a bit later than usual on Sunday. New England Product is now on from 11 – midnight.

This week, Dave Duncan and I were joined by our first guests of 2009, Logan 5 and the Runners. The guys came by to share some music from their brand spankin’ new album “Featurette.” The CD will be available at CD Baby, on their websites, and local stores soon. They’ll be celebrating its release on Saturday, 1/17, at Great Scott. In addition to telling us all about the new music and show, the band discussed the origins of their band name, which was apparently this:
