Arcade Fire Time CoverSeveral members of The Arcade Fire have announced that they will play two free shows in Ohio in support of US presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Frontman Win Butler along with Regine Chassagne, Will Butler and Jeremy Gara will give their first show on Sunday (March 2) at Stuart's Opera House in Nelsonville, Ohio at 7 pm. The show is all ages.

The second show will be held at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland on Monday (March 3) at 7pm. It is an over 18 show.

Advance tickets are not available for either show. Those first to arrive will be admitted until the venues reach capacity.

Although The Arcade Fire are considered a Canadian band, brothers Win and Will Butler were born and raised in the US, and Chassagne has dual Canadian-US citizenship.

The band plan to digitally release the album's first single, 'One Day Like This', on March 18.

Elbow have also announced a handful of US tour dates in support of the new album. They'll kick things off in New York on April 26 and play dates in Washington DC, Chicago, Minneapolis and San Francisco before wrapping up in Los Angeles on May 9.

My Chemical Romance has extended their spring tour, which the band promises will be their final jaunt in support of 2006's The Black Parade before they begin work on its follow-up. The trek begins in Tempe, AZ on March 28 and winds up in New York City on May 9, with more dates to be added. MCR will also play the Bamboozle Left festival as part of the tour on April 6. A live CD/DVD, The Black Parade Is Dead!, will be released later this year as well.
